During this time of social distancing, it’s important to get some exercise at home in a fun way to get the kids (and the whole family) moving together. Turning exercise into creative games is an excellent way to do this.

- Balloon games—Kids love playing with balloons and there are so many ways to make a fun game with them. You can play catch or try to keep the balloon from hitting the ground. You can also try a simple balloon tennis game. Make simple paddles with paper plates and popsicle sticks (just use tape to attach a handle to each plate) and then hit the balloon back and forth. You can make up your own rules about how to keep score.
- Racing games—You can try simple animal races such as hopping like a frog or rabbit or doing a duck waddle while negotiating a couch cushion obstacle course. Wheelbarrow or crab races will make the exercise even more vigorous.
- Dancing games—Just crank up some groovy music and dance! Or play freeze dance: have someone randomly stop the music and everyone has to freeze until it starts up again!
